Get ready for something unusual and delicious from Krispy Kreme: Ghostbusters-themed doughnuts.

To celebrate the Halloween season and mark the 40th anniversary of “Ghostbusters,” Krispy Kreme has created the Ghostbusters Collection featuring four doughnuts that pay tribute to the iconic film starring Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

These doughnuts will be available starting Monday for a limited time at selected locations, inspired by the beloved comedy that debuted in theaters in June 1984.

“It’s no trick – these treats are the real deal. For Halloween this year, you know who to reach out to,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release. “Krispy Kreme is your gateway to Halloween sweetness, and thanks to Sony Pictures Consumer Products, we are thrilled to present our spooky-sweet Ghostbusters doughnuts to our fans. Thanks, Gozer (the movie’s ancient evil deity).”

Krispy Kreme’s Ghostbusters Doughnuts

The Ghostbusters doughnuts can be purchased individually or in a limited-edition specialty box designed to look like the ghost traps used by the Ghostbusters (prices may vary by location):

• Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut with Oreo: A chocolate-iced Original Glazed doughnut, decorated with Oreo bits, Oreo buttercream, and a No Ghost logo candy.
• Slimer Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with lemon-flavored green cream, coated in purple and green icing, and topped with a Slimer candy.
• Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut covered in orange icing and enhanced with neon sprinkles.
• Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Pull-Apart Doughnut: Powdered Original Glazed Doughnut Dots adorned with marshmallow-flavored buttercream and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.

Three of the Ghostbusters doughnuts – all except the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man doughnut – will also be available in a box of six assorted doughnuts, delivered fresh daily to select retailers for a short time. Check the Krispy Kreme website to find a location near you.

As a special treat on Halloween, Oct. 31, visitors wearing any Halloween costume to participating Krispy Kreme locations can grab a free Original Glazed doughnut with no purchase necessary.

Krispy Kreme’s Seasonal Offer: Golden Harvest Collection

This fall, Krispy Kreme has launched its Golden Harvest Collection, featuring the Maple Buttercreme Doughnut, Oatmeal Kreme Pie Doughnut, Salted Caramel Cheesecake Doughnut, and Spiced Apple Filled Doughnut, which became available in mid-September.
