Ravens vs. Chiefs Game Start Pushed Back Due to Lightning at Arrowhead Stadium
The anticipation for the opening game of the 2024 NFL regular season has been prolonged.
The kickoff for Thursday night’s match between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs has been officially postponed due to a lightning strike in the vicinity.
Originally set to begin at 8:20 p.m. ET, the game will now commence at 8:40 p.m. ET.
During the pregame warmups, players were removed from the field, and fans were directed to leave their seats and head to the concourse.
Additionally, sporadic thunderstorms caused heavy rainfall to sweep into the stadium approximately one hour before the game was scheduled to start.
