NEW YORK — Lil’ Kim believes that a true queen bee is never tardy; everyone else is just too early. The rapper arrived shortly after Christian Siriano’s fashion show commenced, rushing to her place in the front row.

The 50-year-old artist joined a host of celebrities at Siriano’s Day 1 showcase for New York Fashion Week, making her entrance roughly four minutes into the runway presentation. She made quite a statement, donning a long gold lamé coat over a gold bustier with black lacing and black lace tights.

Her front row companions included actress Selma Blair, “Glee” star Darren Criss, iconic singer Cyndi Lauper, actress Christina Hendricks, Tony Award winner Alex Newell, and “Baby Reindeer” star Nava Mau, all seated in the recently transformed Perrine restaurant uptown.

Front row attendee Tiffany Haddish made the most of her spotlight, cheering on the models as they walked the runway. “I love that!” she exclaimed excitedly about numerous outfits from Siriano’s spring/summer 2025 collection.

At the conclusion of the show, Haddish, Lil’ Kim, and Lauper happily posed for pictures and took a selfie together.

Selma Blair brings her service dog, Scout, to fashion week

Blair wasn’t alone at the Siriano show; she had her service dog, Scout, with her.

Scout, an English Labrador, settled comfortably at Blair’s feet, enjoying the attention of the fashion elite. The actress welcomed Scout into her life in 2022 as support following her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society describes MS as a condition where the immune system attacks the central nervous system, leading to various neurological symptoms.

Despite her MS diagnosis, Blair continues to be an advocate for awareness, showcasing her style at the Siriano show in a black strapless tea-length gown.

Christian Siriano’s playful fashion show

This collection featured over 60 outfits that exuded playful sensuality, with sheer lace taking center stage — quite literally. The transparency of the fabrics added an alluring touch to the show.

The collection featured some playful highlights on the runway. There were elegant pieces showcasing sheer black mesh adorned with ruffles on the train, and seafoam green lace designs that could serve equally well in a bedroom or on a stylish boat. Silver embellishments beautifully contrasted with glimpses of skin.

Coco Rocha, a muse and regular collaborator of Siriano, closed the show wearing a stunning champagne dress that hugged her figure and featured a dramatic sculptural neckline accompanied by a flowing veil.

The designer expressed gratitude in the show notes, thanking “each and every person who continues to wear our clothing year after year.”
