A Boston news channel unexpectedly went viral after showing b-roll footage that featured famous actress Zendaya walking through the city.

A TikTok user named @chlomance shared a clip from WCVB’s broadcast, which shows Zendaya casually strolling and chatting with her mother among a crowd. As of Tuesday morning, the video has gained over 500,000 views.

The caption of the video reads, “WCVB Channel 5 shooting b-roll and not clocking they got Zendaya.”

The news station explained that they recorded the celebrity by chance during the Newbury Street Holiday Stroll over the weekend.

Zendaya in Boston shooting a new movie

Currently, Zendaya is in Boston filming a new romance movie called “The Drama,” starring alongside Robert Pattinson.

Recently, she has been seen visiting Tatte cafe and checking out art at Rainbows Pottery, reported by The Patriot Ledger, a part of YSL News Network.

Fans have also spotted her taking walks and filming scenes with Pattinson, as well as enjoying time with her partner, Tom Holland.

The actress had also filmed her successful movie “Challengers” in the same city earlier.

Fans look forward to more Zendaya sightings

Chloe Mitchell, who shared the viral video, described her surprise upon realizing it was Zendaya in WCVB’s broadcast.

“While watching Channel 5, we spotted Zendaya and I was like ‘wait, what?'” she recounted.

She further expressed curiosity about Zendaya’s whereabouts, saying, “Will she attend the Celtics game tonight? Is she joining the Bruins next weekend? I wonder where else she might be around Boston without being noticed yet.”
