In spite of the destructive wildfires that have affected California recently, the Recording Academy has confirmed that the 67th Grammy Awards will proceed as planned. Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. stated that this year’s show “won’t only celebrate the best music” but will also “demonstrate how music can aid in rebuilding, lifting spirits, and helping those in need.”

Beyoncé leads the nominations with 11 for her album “Cowboy Carter,” while other top contenders with seven nods each include Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone. Close behind are Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, each earning six nominations.

For the esteemed album of the year category, nominees consist of André 3000 and Jacob Collier, alongside breakout pop artists Carpenter and Roan. The list is rounded out by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.
