Lucid recalls over 137,000 beds sold at Amazon and Walmart due to injury concerns

A recall has been announced by CVB Inc, a company from Utah, which affects approximately 137,000 Lucid Platform Beds featuring Upholstered Square Tufted Headboards, as reported by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday.
Additionally, the report indicates that around 890 of these beds were available for sale in Canada.
The company stated, “We are initiating a voluntary recall for a discontinued model of the Lucid Platform Bed with an Upholstered Square Tufted Headboard, produced between 2019 and 2021.”
According to the report, the recalled beds “could sag, break, or collapse while in use, leading to potential fall and injury risks for consumers.”
CVB Inc revealed in the recall announcement that there have been 18 reported injuries along with “245 reports of the beds sagging, breaking, or collapsing during use.”

What steps should you take if you own a recalled Lucid bed?
Lucid urges those who own the affected beds to stop using them immediately.
The company plans to provide a complimentary replacement bed frame to customers.
To receive a new frame, customers must mark “recalled” on the support rails of their bed with a permanent marker and send a photograph of the bed. They should also include a photo of the underside of the support rails or the law label and email it to recall@lucidmattress.com. After submission, qualified customers will receive a free replacement.
