Decode your dashboard lights and laundry symbols effortlessly
I’ve been driving for almost twenty years, but there are symbols on my dashboard that completely puzzle me—especially the various headlight settings!

Understanding vehicle dashboard symbols
To find out what the symbols on your dashboard signify:
- Snag a photo of the symbol or symbols you’re curious about.
- Open the image and click the icon at the bottom of the screen that resembles an ‘i’ in a circle, or it could look like a steering wheel.
- Select Auto Symbols.
- A list will display the symbols from your photo along with their meanings.
Laundry symbols explained
