Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors Announce Their Engagement at Their Meeting Spot
Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are moving forward in their relationship.
They shared their engagement news with People and E! News during the Ebony Power 100 Gala held in Los Angeles on Sunday. Good proudly displayed her engagement ring at the event.
Good explained to E! that they chose this gala to share their exciting news because it’s where their journey began. “We met in the bathrooms, in the unisex bathroom,” she stated.
Majors expressed his happiness to People, saying, “It’s a season of joy,” while Good added: “It’s a season filled with all the good things.”
YSL News has sought comments from representatives of Good and Majors.
Majors, who is 35, and Good, aged 43, started dating rumors in May 2023. In June, she began attending his assault trial in New York.
Majors faced arrest in New York in March 2023 due to allegations of assaulting his former partner, Grace Jabbari, in a vehicle. In December, he was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment but was acquitted of intentional assault and aggravated harassment, having pleaded not guilty.
The actor was required to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program but was not sentenced to jail time.
Earlier this year, Good revealed to the hosts of the “Today” show that she received advice from her friends not to date Majors due to his ongoing trials.
“At the end of the day, I trust my instincts and have peace in my heart,” she explained. “Whatever happens, I’m proud of my choices, as my spirit guides me.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Majors, she expressed, “The mutual support, deep conversations, love, respect, and care we share has been truly beautiful.”
Good was previously married to pastor DeVon Franklin, but they divorced in 2021 after nearly ten years of marriage.
