Meet Mike Borgonzi: The Titans’ New Assistant General Manager from the Chiefs

Who is Mike Borgonzi? Titans appoint Chiefs’ assistant general manager

The Tennessee Titans have welcomed a new addition to their management team by hiring Mike Borgonzi, who previously worked as the assistant general manager for the Kansas City Chiefs, to fill their vacant general manager position.

The Titans finalized the agreement and made the announcement on Friday evening.

According to The Tennessean, part of the YSL News Network, discussions between both parties were ongoing earlier that same day. The position became available less than two weeks ago, following the dismissal of Ran Carthon on January 7, after a disappointing two-year tenure marked by a 9-25 record.

As the Titans head into a pivotal offseason, they hold the number one overall pick for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft and possess more than $55 million in salary cap space, making them the 11th-highest in the league based on Spotrac’s data.

Borgonzi will be the sixth full-time general manager in the history of the Titans and the third to take on the role in the last four years. The team is hopeful that his hiring will bring some much-needed stability after a period of turmoil since their playoff appearances from 2019 to 2021.

Here’s what you should know about Borgonzi.
