Megan Thee Stallion takes legal action against blogger for harassment and sharing deepfake pornography
Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against a YouTuber, claiming the individual has persistently harassed her.
The rapper has filed a lawsuit against Milagro Cooper, also known as Milagro Gramz, accusing her of cyberstalking, causing emotional distress, and disseminating an “altered sexual depiction” by sharing deepfake pornography images. This legal action was initiated in Florida’s Southern District Court on Wednesday and was reported by YSL News on Thursday.
According to the rapper, Cooper has engaged in a prolonged campaign of harassment and cyberbullying directed at him on behalf of Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson.
eterson was found guilty in 2022 of shooting and injuring her, leading to a sentence of 10 years in prison the next year.
The blogger’s account on X has been suspended, and her Instagram might have been deleted or deactivated.
Cooper’s legal team, California nonprofit Unite the People Inc., issued a statement via email on Thursday, asserting that the lawsuit includes numerous “false accusations” regarding the blogger’s “professional behavior,” aiming to hinder her reporting efforts.
The nonprofit organization stated that the lawsuit, along with similar cases, aims to “suppress” the voices of podcasters, journalists, and social media personalities in exercising their right to free expression.
The artist known as “Mamushi” is requesting a jury trial.
Megan Pete, the rapper’s real name, claims that Cooper endorsed an inappropriate portrayal of her on social media by expressing approval through likes.
owers to “go to my likes.” According to the lawsuit, Cooper later urged her audience on YouTube to follow suit, and this claim is supported by included screenshots.
Deepfakes are videos created by artificial intelligence that use machine learning methods to produce convincing but false images and sounds. Earlier this year, fake content featuring Taylor Swift circulated on X before being removed, and similar fabricated material has been prevalent in recent years.
The legal action references Cooper’s reports on Peterson’s trial, along with numerous tweets where the blogger supposedly advocated for “discredited” conspiracy theories and questioned Pete’s credibility linked to her connections with both Peterson and his father.
In September, Cooper shared a petition calling for Peterson’s release, as shown in a screenshot included in the lawsuit. On Sunday, according to the documents, Cooper posted a tweet suggesting that the firearm related to the shooting had “disappeared.” However, the lawsuit claims that this firearm remains with the Los Angeles Police Department.
As recently as Monday, the lawsuit claims, Cooper shared a video where she talked about the shooting incident. During this video, a blogger allegedly asked Pete, “Can you even prove that you were shot?”
When Pete inquired about what it would take to stop being featured on certain blogs, Cooper is said to have replied that he should “either just get over it or leave.”
