Mike Tyson Plans to Honor His Late Daughter at Jake Paul Fight

ARLINGTON, Texas – The once-menacing black boxing trunks that Mike Tyson wore now carry a heartfelt message.

Photos reveal that the name of Tyson’s deceased daughter, Exodus Sierra Tyson, is stitched in white on the bottom front of the trunks.

The unique design was created for Tyson by BYLT Basics, a clothing brand with which he has collaborated.

Robert Pursell, a representative from BYLT, mentioned that Tyson is expected to wear these trunks in his upcoming match against Jake Paul on Friday at AT&T Stadium.

Exodus tragically died at the age of 4 when a treadmill cord accidentally strangled her in 2009, an event described by police as a “tragic accident.” Her brother, who was 7 at the time, discovered her in the family’s Arizona home.

Tyson, who is a father of six now, has often expressed his sorrow regarding the loss of Exodus in numerous interviews.

“Family is everything,” Tyson said on Tuesday following a workout session.

His eldest son, Amir, has been featured in Netflix’s coverage of the fight week event.

In images of the new trunks, the name Exodus Sierra Tyson is placed above an American flag on the left leg. The waistband features a Tyson company logo, while the right thigh showcases the BYLT brand name.

Pursell confirmed that the former heavyweight champion has been wearing these specially designed trunks during his training sessions.

Andrew Ruf, Tyson’s agent, has not yet responded to a request for confirmation that Tyson will wear the trunks during the fight. He did not don them during open workouts at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving on Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to partner with Mike on this design that reflects his profound story over the decades,” said Joe Trachta, head of product at BYLT, in a statement to YSL News Sports. “We are eager to see Iron Mike back in the ring.”

Born on March 3, 2005, Exodus was only three months old when Tyson had his final professional fight, after which he retired without continuing for the seventh round against Kevin McBride.

During the open workouts, Tyson remarked, when asked about his training experience, “I’ve learned that I am tougher than I thought.”
