Revolutionizing Healthcare: The Future of Point-of-Care Testing with Innovative Bioluminescent Immunosensors

A novel nanobody-based immunosensor, designed to function stably in undiluted biological fluids and harsh conditions, has been developed. Their innovative design leverages BRET -- bioluminescence resonance energy transfer -- and exhibits great potential for point-of-care testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and environmental applications using paper-based devices. NASCAR Cup Series to Race in Mexico in 2025

The NASCAR Cup Series is set to hold its first international points race in over 60 years, visiting Mexico in June 2025.

This exciting announcement was made during a press conference in Mexico on Tuesday. The event will take place on the 2.674-mile, 17-turn Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course on Sunday, June 15. The weekend’s activities will also include races from the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Mexico Series.

Prime Video will broadcast the Cup Series race, while the Xfinity Series will be shown on The CW.

“This is a significant milestone for our sport, particularly for the NASCAR Cup Series, as we extend our reach to Mexico,” stated Ben Kennedy, NASCAR’s executive vice president and chief officer of venue and racing innovation. “We have been proactive about expanding globally, and the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City is the perfect venue to continue this journey.”

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, which opened its doors in 1959 and underwent renovations in 2015, is a regular location for the Formula 1 races and hosted the NASCAR Xfinity Series from 2005 to 2008.

NASCAR’s origins can be traced back to Bill France Sr. and Curtis Turner, who took part in the La Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico in 1950.

The last international Cup Series race occurred on July 18, 1958, at Canadian Exposition Stadium in Toronto. The inaugural international Cup Series race took place on July 1, 1952, at Stamford Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

“At OCESA, we strive to provide entertainment, establishing ourselves as the leading live events organization in Mexico and Latin America, recognized globally,” explained Alejandro Soberon, founder and CEO of OCESA. “The entry of the NASCAR Cup Series into our country showcases the remarkable development of motorsports in Mexico, largely due to the efforts of Escuderia Telmex in promoting the NASCAR Mexico Series and backing drivers like Daniel Suarez.”

Mexico is among several events confirmed for the 2025 season.

NASCAR has already disclosed dates for several key events: The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium (Feb. 2), the Daytona 500 (Feb. 16), the All-Star Race (May 18), the Coca-Cola 600 (May 25), Atlanta Motor Speedway (June 28), and Phoenix Raceway (Nov. 2).

The complete schedule for 2025 will be revealed soon.
