New York Fashion Week 2024: Your complete guide to the schedule, dates, and more
New York Fashion Week is returning this fall, where designers are expected to impress with stunning new collections on the runway.
The event will feature spring/summer 2025 collections from notable designers including 3.1 Philip Lim, Luar, and Willy Chavarria, among others, across over 60 scheduled runway shows set for early September. The New York design studio Area will start off the Council of Fashion Designers of America-organized event with a fall/winter 2024 show on September 6, while Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler will also showcase their designs in the lead-up to the main event.
Melitta Baumeister, a New York-based German designer and the winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, will be the one to wrap up the six-day event. Baumeister is a Parsons School of Design alum and received a cash prize and mentorship last fall.
The celebrity guest list at last spring’s NYFW showcased a multitude of stars from various fields including music, film, sports, and fashion. Notable attendees included Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Sam Smith, Anna Wintour, Emily Ratajkowski, and Blake Lively.

What are the dates for New York Fashion Week 2024?
NYFW will officially kick off on Friday, September 6, marking the start of fashion month, which is followed by London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks.
New York Men’s Day will take place on September 6, featuring presentations from A. Potts, Clara Son, Earthling, Sivan, and The Salting just before the first runway show. Daily shows are scheduled, concluding on the night of September 11.
Every February and September, NYFW offers a stage for global designers to showcase their work to key influencers, buyers, and media representatives.

Where will NYFW be held?
This year’s NYFW has relocated from Spring Studios in downtown to RXR’s Starrett-Lehigh Building in Chelsea, Manhattan.
The new venue offers a “professional and cultural hub” featuring an outdoor terrace with views of the Hudson River, a restaurant, a food hall, and various event spaces.
