Audio from Donald Trump’s Criminal Sentencing Made Public by New York Judge Juan Merchan
On Friday, New York Judge Juan Merchan provided an uncommon opportunity for the public by releasing the audio from the criminal sentencing of President-elect Donald Trump.
During a hearing that lasted about 30 minutes, Judge Merchan sentenced Trump to an “unconditional discharge,” meaning he will not serve any prison time or face probation. However, Trump’s conviction on 34 felony charges for falsifying business records to conceal a payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in connection with the 2016 presidential campaign remains intact.

It’s worth noting that cameras are not allowed in New York’s criminal courts.
Trump has become the first former or incoming U.S. president to be criminally sentenced. Following the hearing, he announced via a post on Truth Social that he intends to appeal the conviction, with a 30-day window to file the appeal.
While addressing the court, Trump seemed to imply that the charges against him were driven by political motives.
“It was very inappropriate,” he stated.
