Jordan Love Injury Update: Packers Set to Start Veteran Quarterback Against Vikings in Week 4
GREEN BAY, Wis. – According to a reliable source, quarterback Jordan Love will take the field as the starter for the Green Bay Packers this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
This week, Love mentioned he was “close” to returning, and it seems he wasn’t overstating his condition.
The Packers have opted not to promote practice squad quarterback Sean Clifford for Sunday’s game.
Clifford had been called up in the previous two weeks due to Love’s absence caused by a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. The team required a backup for Malik Willis, and Clifford had a maximum of three elevations allowed during the season.
In addition, the Packers have elevated two cornerbacks, Robert Rochell and Kamal Hadden, possibly indicating that cornerback Jaire Alexander may not be ready to play.
