Princess Kate has stepped out for the first time publicly after finishing her chemotherapy earlier this month.

On Sunday, Kate, 42, along with Prince William, attended a church service with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the royal family’s church located near Balmoral Castle in Scotland, as reported by The Associated Press.

In a video message shared on September 9, the Princess of Wales expressed feelings of “relief” after her chemotherapy treatment. She emphasized her commitment to “doing everything I can to remain cancer-free” and acknowledged that her “journey toward healing and full recovery” is still “long.”

“I plan to take it one day at a time,” she stated. “Nonetheless, I look forward to resuming my work and participating in more public events in the upcoming months when it’s possible. Despite everything I have faced, I embrace this new chapter of recovery with a fresh sense of hope and gratitude for life.”

During her cancer treatment, Kate has made a few public appearances. In June, she publicly returned at the Trooping the Colour event, which celebrates King Charles’ birthday. It is noted that Charles is also currently facing an undisclosed type of cancer.

The following month, she attended Wimbledon with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, where they received a warm standing ovation. In August, Kate was seen at a service at Crathie Kirk parish church in Scotland alongside William, 42, Charles, 75, and Camilla, 77, as well as Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and their son, James, Earl of Wessex, according to photos shared by the Daily Mail.

This church has become well-known as the royal family’s place of worship while staying at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
