Baltimore Ravens to Unveil ‘Purple Rising’ Helmets Against Bengals on Thursday Night

BALTIMORE – This Thursday night, during the matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens will sport a fresh look, which isn’t solely due to the recent additions of cornerback Tre’Davious White and wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

As part of their “Purple Rising” initiative, the Ravens are introducing a new matte purple helmet featuring a gold facemask and unique “talon stripes” running down the middle, along with an alternate logo showcasing a raven facing forward. This marks just the third helmet design in the franchise’s 29-year history, and it’s the first one not primarily in black.

All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton expressed his excitement, stating, “I think it’s a good thing for the fans. Hopefully we can secure a victory so we can wear them again.”

Baltimore joins several other teams in using the NFL’s updated guidelines for alternate helmets, a trend also adopted by teams like the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, and New York Jets during the 2024 season.

Cornberback Arthur Maulet shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I can’t wait to put them on. Purple is one of my favorite colors. I believe purple represents royalty and loyalty. It feels like the king’s color. I can’t wait to don the purple and gold.”

The Ravens will also showcase their Color Rush uniforms for this game, which feature purple jerseys and pants complemented by gold numbers.
