Burglary Incidents Reported at Mahomes and Kelce’s Homes
Recent reports indicate that the residences of Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were burglarized just two days apart in early October.
According to TMZ, the incidents occurred while the Chiefs were preparing to face the New Orleans Saints during “Monday Night Football” on October 7, which would lead Kansas City to a 5-0 record.
On October 6, around midnight, police from Belton, Missouri, responded to a call from Mahomes’ security team regarding a break-in at his home.
Documents acquired by The Kansas City Star reveal that the Cass County Sheriff’s Office classified it as a “Burglary/Breaking & Entering,” noting that the investigation is still ongoing.
Law enforcement officials stated there were no indications of forced entry at Mahomes’ residence.
In contrast, Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas, was reportedly violated around 7:33 p.m. on October 7, shortly after the “Monday Night Football” game began. Reports from TMZ indicated that $20,000 worth of items were stolen and that the back door showed signs of damage. After the incident, Kelce and Taylor Swift, who was at the game, opted to stay at a hotel in Kansas City for safety reasons.
The Kansas City Star further reported that the Leawood Police Department received a burglary report at approximately 1:36 a.m. on October 8 related to Kelce’s neighborhood.
Following the incidents, Kelce and Swift were spotted in New York City as the Chiefs took their bye week.
Kelce had purchased his home in 2023 and has attracted significant media attention since starting his relationship with Swift.
Mahomes and his family moved into their mansion in 2023, which was highlighted in the Netflix series “Quarterback” during its construction phase.
