It’s not just Kamala Harris and Donald Trump making headlines with their campaigns; Red Lobster’s famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits are also kicking off their Cheddar Bay 2024 campaign, inviting everyone to unite “even if just for dinner.”
One lucky winner could score free meals at Red Lobster for an entire presidential term!
According to Red Lobster, “Cheddar Bay 2024 is a bite-partisan initiative that embraces the principles that we can all agree on – cheesiness, freshness, and that comforting, buttery flavor we all love – because when biscuits rise, America thrives.”
When Does the Red Lobster Promotion End?
The promotion starts on Monday and runs until November 10. Customers can visit their nearest Red Lobster, scan a Cheddar Bay 2024 QR code located on their tables, and enter for a chance to win free Cheddar Bay Biscuits and seafood for four years.
“Our guests have shared many reasons why they adore Red Lobster, and the Cheddar Bay Biscuits are consistently at the top,” said Jeff Matray, Vice President of Marketing at Red Lobster.
In addition to the food giveaway, those eager to support the Cheddar Bay 2024 initiative can request a Campaign Kit, available for free on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
This kit features Cheddar Bay 2024 lawn signs, t-shirts, hats, and buttons reminiscent of presidential campaign paraphernalia. To claim the kit, visit CheddarBay2024.com.
Red Lobster’s Promotional History
This is not Red Lobster’s first large-scale promotion. They gained widespread recognition with the annual endless shrimp promotion that lasted for 20 years.
Last summer, however, the company made the $20 endless shrimp option a permanent addition to the menu, a decision that initially seemed promising but resulted in a loss of $11 million and played a role in their subsequent bankruptcy filing.
The alteration to the endless shrimp menu has been linked to Thai Union, a Bangkok-based seafood company that became Red Lobster’s largest investor in 2020.
According to bankruptcy documents from May, the CEO assigned by Thai Union led to the elimination of two of Red Lobster’s three breaded shrimp suppliers, leaving Thai Union as the only provider for the restaurant.
