Exclusive Preview: Rip and Beth Shine in ‘Yellowstone’ First Look Week

This week marks “Yellowstone” First Look Week at YSL News, starting with the intense couple at the heart of Taylor Sheridan’s successful series — Beth and Rip.

Amid the various family crises and drama within the Dutton clan, viewers have always had one unwavering element in the shifting plot of “Yellowstone” — the long-standing love between fiery Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), who has been Dutton’s loyal ranch hand for years.

This unique relationship is expected to become even more critical in the eagerly anticipated second half of Season 5, which will conclude the series and premiere on November 10 at 8 PM EST/PST, coinciding with Kevin Costner’s exit from the “Yellowstone” saga ahead of its final episodes.

With the absence of the family patriarch John Dutton, Beth and Rip will take on even more significance as the series nears its finale.

This upcoming marathon on the Paramount Network will revisit all episodes of “Yellowstone,” commencing Friday at 10 PM EDT/PDT, showcasing the unconventional love story of Rip and Beth, starting from the very first episode where Rip finds Beth alone at the Dutton ranch, casually smoking a cigarette in her bathrobe.

In one memorable moment, Beth quips to Rip, “You look nervous, Rip. Like a stray dog who can’t enjoy being in the house ’cause he’s so worried about the broom.”

Surprisingly, despite all odds, their romance has endured. They managed to survive a dramatic assassination attempt in the Season 3 finale, culminating in a spontaneous wedding in Season 4, despite John Dutton’s objections. By Season 5’s start, which debuted back in November 2022, viewers saw John Dutton take on the role of Montana’s governor, with Beth eagerly serving as his chief of staff, reveling in her newfound influence.

However, tension brewed as Beth openly confronts her brother Jamie (Wes Bentley), deeming him responsible for her struggles with infertility. This escalating conflict could have significant consequences for the already strong bond between Rip and Beth in the concluding episodes.

In a recent sneak peek shared on the official “Yellowstone” Instagram, Rip is seen warning Jamie, “My job is to protect this family, and you are the worst thing for it.”

With the series approaching its end, many pivotal questions remain unanswered, particularly concerning how the storyline will adapt to Kevin Costner’s absence as Dutton. The fate of Rip and Beth’s relationship, as well as the possibility of them leading a potential spinoff, stands out as one of the biggest mysteries.

Stay tuned to YSL News this week for more exclusive previews of the final season of “Yellowstone.”
