Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday of September, falling on September 2 this year, as a tribute to the achievements of the labor movement. While some institutions like post offices and banks will be closed, many eateries will remain open—it’s advisable to confirm their hours first.

A survey by Numerator involving 1,059 U.S. consumers revealed that about 67% of Americans plan to celebrate Labor Day. Grilling is the most popular activity, with 63% stating they will grill, followed by family and friend gatherings at 58% and home cooking or baking by 32%.
