How college students can get a discount on NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube TV: Save $280 or more
As the NFL regular season approaches, college students can save over $280 on NFL Sunday Ticket.
With college expenses on the rise, students who love football can enjoy significant savings by choosing the student discount on NFL Sunday Ticket.
The regular price for the package is $479, but students can access it for just $199, with the option to add NFL RedZone for an additional $10.
The NFL season kicks off with Thursday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sept. 5, featuring the Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs. NFL Sunday Ticket allows subscribers to watch all out-of-market NFL games not available on local broadcasts during Sundays.
This discount is available for students enrolled in colleges and universities, who can sign up through the YouTube NFL Sunday Ticket site. Google secured the rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket in December 2022, outbidding Amazon and ESPN for a reported annual fee of $2 billion over seven years. Prior to that, DirecTV had broadcast the NFL Sunday Ticket since its inception in 1994.
Steps to access the NFL Sunday Ticket student discount
Students can enroll in the NFL Sunday Ticket Student Plan for $199 directly on the YouTube site. YouTube recommends using a personal email address to create the NFL Sunday Ticket account (streaming is done via the NFL page on YouTube) because some university networks impose restrictions on .edu emails.
On the site, you’ll have the choice to subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket for $199 or to include NFL RedZone for $209. Hosted by Scott Hanson, the RedZone channel provides live coverage of significant plays across Sunday games for seven hours, showcasing up to eight games at once through the well-known “Octobox.”
Subsequent to this selection, students will be directed to SheerID for student status verification, and then they’ll need to provide a payment method.
Keep in mind that your NFL Sunday Ticket Student Plan will not automatically renew for the following season.
Features of the NFL Sunday Ticket student discount
