On Wednesday evening, Gomez, 32, posted a picture of her stunning engagement ring on Instagram, captioning it, “Forever begins now..” The star of “Only Murders in the Building” also included images of herself admiring her beautiful new ring while relaxing on a picnic blanket and in a cheerful selfie.
In the last photo, Blanco, 36, is seen lovingly embracing Gomez as they sit together on the floor of a closet, with her showcasing her new ring.
“Hold on…” the music producer commented. “That’s my wife.”
In a video shared on her Instagram Story, Gomez excitedly showed off her ring while on FaceTime, her left hand trembling with joy as she exclaimed, “Yes to this!”

This announcement comes during a significant year for both of their careers. Blanco released a cookbook titled “Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends” earlier this year, while Gomez received two Golden Globe nominations for her role in “Only Murders” and her recent performance in Netflix’s “Emilia Pérez.”

The couple went public with their romance about a year ago when Gomez shared several pictures from a trip to New York, including one where she kissed her new partner. In a now-deleted comment, the founder of Rare Beauty hinted that they had been dating for six months before that moment.
In a Time interview from May, Gomez discussed how their relationship started. She initially viewed Blanco as just a friend until she started developing romantic feelings, which became clear during a birthday party for one of his friends.
“It just happens when you least expect it,” Gomez reflected. She also emphasized that “he isn’t my only source of happiness.”
During that same month, Blanco revealed more about their relationship on the Howard Stern Show.
“She’s the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest,” Blanco said on the show. “She’s really just like my best friend.”
When asked if he wants to have children, Blanco replied, “That’s, like, my next goal.” When Stern suggested, “I predict marriage,” Blanco responded, “You and me both.”
“I can’t imagine a better life than this,” he added.
In September, Gomez shared that because of “a lot of medical issues,” she is unable to carry a pregnancy herself but is determined to become a mom one day.

He also offered a one-hour virtual cooking class alongside his friend, “The Bear” star Matty Matheson, and later pledged a top donation of $20,000 to Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund.
In her conversation with Time, Gomez highlighted how great it feels to have a partner who isn’t affected by online negativity, especially since she is the most-followed woman on Instagram.
“I understand how harmful comments can be for the people I care about. My own fans, who I truly appreciate, may say hurtful things about my life choices,” she shared. “However, he possesses a strength that makes him unaffected by that noise. It’s truly admirable, and I value every moment spent with him.”
