Skai Jackson shares news of her pregnancy with first child: ‘My heart is so full!’
The former Disney Channel star is expecting with her partner.
Attention “Jessie” fans! The youngest member of the Ross family is set to become a mother.
Skai Jackson, known for her role as Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel show featuring Debby Ryan, announced her pregnancy with her first child through a statement to People magazine published on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Jackson is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, who remains unnamed.
“I’m elated to start this new journey in my life — welcoming motherhood and exploring new acting opportunities,” Jackson expressed to the publication. “My heart is so full!”
Her pregnancy comes shortly after Jackson’s recent legal troubles. On August 9, she was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, as confirmed by a representative of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to YSL News. The former child actress was taken into custody during a visit to Universal Studios Hollywood after it was determined that she was “the primary aggressor” in a domestic dispute.
TMZ reported that Universal Studios security notified the police after witnessing Jackson push her boyfriend multiple times. Authorities then reviewed security footage from the theme park, which allegedly showed Jackson pushing the victim, as reported by People magazine and the Los Angeles Times.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the incident, stated the LASD representative to YSL News. Jackson was taken to the West Hollywood station for booking and was released after a few hours.
“It’s crucial for me to deliver positive messages, stay optimistic, and provide my fans with solid advice,” Jackson continued. “I want to remind them that whatever they aspire to achieve in life is within their reach.”
Jackson’s most recent project was a role in the 2023 thriller “The Man in the White Van,” which was directed by Warren Skeels.
