Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to welcome Cher, Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and more: How to catch the event

The Rock Hall announced 16 artists set to be honored in 2024 back in April. Here’s how to stream live and on demand.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is preparing to induct its latest group of artists who have significantly influenced various music genres over the years.

This year’s honorees include rock legends like Ozzy Osbourne, pop icons such as Cher, and hip-hop pioneers including Mary J. Blige, showcasing the diversity and creativity that shapes popular music, according to a statement from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Following the announcement of the inductees in April, the induction ceremony will be held this weekend, coinciding with a series of celebratory events in Cleveland, Ohio. The event will feature a lineup of noteworthy presenters and performers, with guests such as Dr. Dre, Dua Lipa, James Taylor, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, and Slash.

Here’s how you can watch the induction ceremony:

When will the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony happen?

The induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, adjacent to the museum, which is home to the Cleveland Browns.

How can you watch the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony?

The ceremony will be streamed live on Disney+ starting at 7 p.m. EST.

After the live event, viewers can continue to watch it on Disney+, as well as on Hulu the following day.

Note that the monthly subscription fee for Disney+ has recently gone up to $10.99, which includes a bundle with Hulu.

Additionally, ABC will broadcast a highlight reel of the ceremony on Jan. 1, featuring select performances and memorable moments.

Are tickets still available?

If you’re in Ohio this weekend and wish to attend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event live, there might still be an opportunity.

Although tickets went on sale in August, a limited number are still for sale on the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse website, with prices starting at $130.

Who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024?

In April, the Rock Hall revealed the 16 artists, including eight main performers slated for induction in 2024 through popular voting:

  • Mary J. Blige;
  • Cher;
  • Dave Matthews Band;
  • Foreigner;
  • Peter Frampton;
  • Kool & the Gang;
  • Ozzy Osbourne (who previously joined as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006);
  • A Tribe Called Quest

The remaining inductees are being honored in special categories.

A trio of blues legends—Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton—will receive the musical influence award. Jimmy Buffett will be recognized posthumously with the musical excellence award, along with MC5, Dionne Warwick, and Norman Whitfield.

The annual Ahmet Ertegun award will be awarded to TV producer and screenwriter Suzanne de Passe, known for her role as the executive producer of “Showtime At the Apollo” from 2002 to 2008.
