Star-Studded Lineup Announced for Trump’s Inaugural Celebration: Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood Shine

Who will perform at Trump’s inauguration? Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood to take the stage

Donald Trump, the President-elect, will officially take office on Monday, bringing with him a lineup of notable musicians for Inauguration Day.

Compared to his first inauguration in 2017, Trump’s upcoming event promises to be more glamorous with prominent performers from the country music scene and other genres set to sing a range of patriotic songs during the ceremony. The inauguration return marks a significant transition four years after the star-studded performances at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, featuring artists like Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

Here’s a look at the artists confirmed to perform during Trump’s inauguration next week.

Carrie Underwood to perform ‘America the Beautiful’

Country superstar Carrie Underwood is confirmed to sing “America the Beautiful,” as stated by a spokesperson from the Presidential Inaugural Committee to YSL News. She will be joined on stage by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

“I love this country and feel privileged to perform at the Inauguration and to partake in this important event,” Underwood expressed in a statement to YSL News. “It is a great honor to contribute at a time when we need to unite and look towards the future.”

Lee Greenwood to sing ‘God Bless the USA’

Renowned country artist Lee Greenwood will present his acclaimed song “God Bless the USA” during the inauguration on Monday, as he confirmed on Fox News.

“I am honored and excited to perform for our 47th President, Donald J. Trump, during the inaugural celebrations,” Greenwood said in a statement to YSL News on Wednesday. “Both my wife, Kimberly Payne, and I have known the President for many years, making this a significant moment in our lives. I look forward to celebrating this day with dedicated Americans everywhere.”

The 1984 hit has become somewhat of a theme song for Trump at his rallies and political events. Greenwood has previously performed the song alongside Trump and presented “Holdin’ a Good Hand” at the Republican National Convention with the band Sixwire. “God Bless the USA” was played earlier at the RNC when Trump made his first public appearance after a shooting incident at one of his rallies in Pennsylvania.

Last year, Trump and Greenwood collaborated on a specially designed $59.99 Bible they named the “God Bless the USA Bible.”

Who will sing the national anthem at Trump’s inauguration?

The national anthem will be sung by opera singer Christopher Macchio during the swearing-in ceremony, confirmed by a spokesperson from the Presidential Inaugural Committee to YSL News on Wednesday. The American tenor, recognized for his prior performances of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America,” has also appeared prominently at Trump’s Madison Square Garden event leading up to the 2024 election.

Notably, Jackie Evancho, a former contestant on “America’s Got Talent,” performed the national anthem at the 2017 inauguration, while Lady Gaga delivered a powerful rendition during Biden’s inauguration.

Village People set to perform at Trump’s inauguration events, despite ‘our preferred candidate lost’

In a Facebook announcement, the Village People announced their involvement in various events surrounding Trump’s inauguration.

The group’s famous track “Y.M.C.A.” has been a long-standing feature at Trump’s rallies, and they noted, “It’s a global anthem that we hope contributes to uniting the country after a challenging and divided election where we did not win,” in their post.

“We are pleased to share that the VILLAGE PEOPLE have accepted an invitation from President-Elect Trump’s campaign to be involved in inaugural activities, including participating in at least one event with him,” they declared. “We understand that this news may upset some, but we firmly believe that music transcends politics.”

Who performed at Trump’s 2017 inauguration?

Before taking office in 2017, Trump hosted a concert at the Lincoln Memorial featuring performances by Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood, and 3 Doors Down. “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” remarked Keith during the event.
