Star-Studded Spectacle: Whoopi Goldberg and Katie Holmes Shine at Christian Siriano’s NYFW Runway

Whoopi Goldberg and Katie Holmes grace the front row at Christian Siriano’s NYFW show

NEW YORK — Whoopi Goldberg enjoyed a unique “View” while seated in the front row at New York Fashion Week.

The ABC daytime talk show host was among a lineup of celebrities at Christian Siriano’s fashion event on Thursday, where she sat front row with notable figures like Laverne Cox, Tiffany Haddish, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Bedingfield, Katie Holmes, Adam Lambert, Julianne Hough, and “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Bronwyn Newport, among others.

The star-studded group kicked off the first official day of NYFW, with Cox, Brooks, and Bedingfield capturing selfies together before the show got underway. Goldberg, who was positioned between Holmes and Bedingfield, sported a stylish black-and-white striped blazer paired with vibrant red boots.

Newport, who’s been recognized by Siriano as one of his top customers, opting to buy his designs rather than rent them, wore a stunning pale pink ruffled gown, pausing for photographers after her earlier appearance at the Brandon Maxwell show.

In a playful moment during the show, just as the music picked up before the grand finale, Hough, Holmes, Goldberg, Bedingfield, Brooks, and Cox joined in some light-hearted vogue-ing to the rhythm.

As is typical of Siriano’s events, the venue was adorned with roses from floor to ceiling, transforming the space into a striking all-red display on Manhattan’s west side.

The show was opened by supermodel Winnie Harlow in a black minidress accented with red draping, followed by Siriano’s muse Coco Rocha, who made three appearances on the runway, including a breathtaking finale in a sheer red ballgown.

Rocha led a group of models down the catwalk to conclude the show, guiding her “fashion chicks” with Harlow by her side as they held hands during the closing moment, before Siriano himself emerged for one last lap around the venue, bowing and blowing kisses to the front row audience.

The fall/winter collection showcased bold reds with sultry cuts, structured black outfits using unexpected materials (including a standout croc print dress!), along with flowing dresses and separates that shimmered in mesmerizing blues and purples. An extravagant and enjoyable showcase, reflecting Siriano’s signature dramatic style.

In the show notes, Siriano expressed gratitude to “every person who wears our clothes year after year.”
