Who’s Going and Who’s Missing from Trump’s Inauguration: From Musk to Underwood
Expected attendees include celebrities like Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood, political figures like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and tech moguls like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
Several prominent individuals have confirmed their attendance at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, which includes Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk and Grammy-winning artist Carrie Underwood.
The inauguration will take place in Washington, D.C., where Trump will officially take the oath of office inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. Due to a forecast of extremely cold temperatures, the inauguration ceremonies were moved indoors, as announced by Trump on Friday.
“The weather in Washington, D.C., combined with the wind chill, could bring about dangerously low temperatures. An Arctic blast is affecting the entire country. I want to ensure everyone stays safe,” Trump remarked.
“It poses risks for the tens of thousands of law enforcement officers, first responders, police dogs, and even horses, as well as the hundreds of thousands of supporters who will be outside for hours on the 20th. If you choose to come, please dress warmly!” he added.
While it’s uncertain how this indoor change may influence attendance, many high-profile guests have confirmed their participation. Here’s a list of prominent individuals expected to be present and those who have opted out.
