Steph Curry Believes Kamala Harris Could Restore National Unity as President

Steph Curry believes Kamala Harris can restore unity to the nation as president

Steph Curry, the star player of the Golden State Warriors, has officially endorsed Kamala Harris for the presidency.

<p”In representing our country, I feel honored. Supporting Kamala (Harris) has been a true privilege. Let’s all contribute,” Curry expressed in a video message released during the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.

Earlier this month, Curry played a significant role in helping the United States men’s national basketball team secure a fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This was Curry’s debut at the Olympics, which he described as a “great honor.” In the video, he wore his newly-acquired Olympic gold medal while advocating for national unity.

“The cooperation we experienced both on and off the court reminds us that united, we can accomplish anything and inspire the world,” Curry stated. “That’s why I believe Kamala (Harris) can restore that unity as president and continue to advance our nation. This is about maintaining hope and faith in our country — ensuring that families are supported during their most crucial times.

In July, Harris met with the U.S. men’s national basketball team during a practice session in Las Vegas before their Olympic adventure. During this visit, she had a short one-on-one discussion with Curry. They also convened in January 2023 when the Warriors visited the White House to celebrate their 2022 NBA championship.

“I had the opportunity to see Kamala (Harris) at the White House with my team last year,” Curry reflected on Thursday. “I can confirm one thing — I recognized then, and I certainly still believe, that the Oval Office is a great fit for her. As Michelle Obama once said, ‘Do something.’ Get out there and vote. Be engaged. Let’s show up this November like never before.”

This past Monday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr also threw his support behind Harris’s presidential campaign at the Democratic National Convention, aided by Curry’s well-known three-point celebration.

“Once the votes are counted on November 5, in the words of the remarkable Steph Curry, we can bid farewell to Donald Trump night, night!” Kerr stated, delivering a memorable moment as the convention began.
