Fantasy Football Trade Targets for Week 12: Buy Low, Sell High
As the NFL season progresses, it’s unusual to witness so many quarterback changes across teams. Teams are making transitions for various reasons—whether it’s due to injuries like Dak Prescott’s, a search for a boost in performance as seen with Anthony Richardson, or a complete shift in strategy as with Daniel Jones.
Additionally, with six teams having a bye this week (and another six next week), fantasy managers may find themselves adjusting their strategies as playoff considerations come into play.
Here’s a look at players whose fantasy value is either rising or falling based on their recent performances in Week 11:
Players to Consider Buying for Week 12
QB Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers: Although Coach Jim Harbaugh and Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman favor a run-oriented offense, Herbert’s passing ability has opened up the field, allowing him to establish strong connections with up-and-coming wide receivers Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey.
QB Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts: Head Coach Shane Steichen has opted to stick with Richardson as the starter for the remainder of the season. In a game against the Jets, he demonstrated accuracy by completing 20 of 30 passes for 272 yards and scoring a touchdown, while also rushing for two touchdowns, including a crucial game-winner.
WR Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns: Jeudy had a breakout game, catching six passes for 142 yards, which featured an impressive 89-yard touchdown throw from QB Jameis Winston. This marked his first game exceeding 100 yards since January 2023 while still with Denver.
TE Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders: Ertz seems to be experiencing a resurgence, with four or more receptions in five of his last six matches and exceeding 40 receiving yards in four of those games. At 34 years old, he is re-establishing himself as a reliable fantasy choice.
TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots: Against the Los Angeles Rams, Henry recorded six catches for 63 yards on nine targets. Over the past five games, he has reached six or more receptions four times, as well as receiving six or more targets in four of those matches.
Players to Consider Selling for Week 12
WR Diontae Johnson, Baltimore Ravens: Johnson had a quiet game against his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, failing to catch any passes on two targets. He may long for his time in Carolina, where he was the star player. In his three games with Baltimore, he’s only managed four targets and one catch for 6 yards.
RB Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins: Last season, Mostert was tied for the most total touchdowns with 21. However, this year, he has become an afterthought in Miami’s offense. In Week 11, he struggled, managing three carries for a total of minus-2 yards with no passing game targets.
WR Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers: Despite recording four receptions for 73 yards with a touchdown in Week 10, Pearsall was largely invisible in Sunday’s match. With Jauan Jennings healthy and Deebo Samuel performing well, he was targeted only twice and caught nothing.
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City Chiefs: Just when it seemed like Smith-Schuster might regain relevance, the Chiefs acquired DeAndre Hopkins. As a result, JuJu has fallen behind Hopkins and Xavier Worthy, and is now barely seeing opportunities with Mecole Hardman taking away targets as well.
TE Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers: Kraft was performing well until suffering a groin injury, and it remains unclear if this is still an issue. In the last two games, he has only managed 34 receiving yards and seven targets and did not catch a single pass in Week 11.
