‘The Bachelorette’ ex who made surprise appearance said show left out ‘juicy’ interview
Matthew Rossi, a former boyfriend of the lead on “The Bachelorette,” revealed that he attended the “Men Tell All” reunion special, but his interview segment did not make it to the broadcast.
A 28-year-old from Boston, Rossi was not among the contestants competing for Jenn Tran’s affection in Season 21. He and Jenn had matched on Hinge before the show began, and he made a surprise visit to her while she was filming in Auckland, New Zealand.
During their emotional reunion, he expressed, “I would love to join you, to share how much I still really care for you.” Rossi told Jenn he loved her, which took her by surprise since they had remained friends after their breakup. Although he attended a cocktail party, Jenn ultimately sent him home before the rose ceremony, choosing to pursue relationships with the men who were already on the show. As he left, Rossi described feeling “defeated” but appreciated having closure.
In a TikTok shared after last week’s “Men Tell All,” Rossi posted a mirror selfie in a suit, captioning it with, “when they made me come to Men Tell All, rehash everything out, just to cut the whole segment out.” He added, “release the tapes it got juicy.”

Who is ‘The Bachelorette’ right now?
Jenn Tran, 26, is a “Bachelor” alumna and the first Asian American to take the lead role in the show’s 22-year history.
Jenn’s biography from “The Bachelorette” describes her as a “sweet and compassionate woman who has dedicated her life to helping others.” The bilingual Vietnamese beauty currently lives in Miami and is looking for a partner who is as reliable and thoughtful as she is.
In an interview with YSL News, Tran mentioned feeling immense pressure as the first Asian American bachelorette and characterized her role as a “very historic moment.”
“This is a moment many have been waiting for,” Tran stated, emphasizing its significance in terms of progress towards change.
As she prepares for a career as a physician’s assistant, Tran admitted that being the lead didn’t come easily and she dealt with feelings of impostor syndrome.
“I never saw myself as a main character before,” Tran reflected, but she has come to realize, “The perfect bachelorette is simply being true to who you are.”
