T-Mobile claims disruptions fixed after numerous users report outages Tuesday afternoon
On Tuesday afternoon, a large number of T-Mobile customers experienced service problems, but the company has stated that the issues have been resolved.
The outage tracking website Downdetector reported that around 2:30 p.m. ET, there was a peak in problems with over 19,000 users indicating connectivity issues, primarily related to a lack of signal.
T-Mobile informed YSL News that service has been restored.
A T-Mobile representative stated, “A mechanical issue at one of our facilities in the Salt Lake area briefly affected connectivity for certain customers, but this has now been resolved and service has been restored. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”
Additionally, T-Mobile wasn’t the only carrier facing issues on Tuesday, as Verizon customers in the Northeast also reported outages earlier in the day.
Verizon addressed the situation in a social media update, saying, “This morning, a network problem temporarily disrupted service for some Verizon Fios customers in the Northeast. Our engineering teams quickly worked to restore service once the problem was identified.”
