Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce Attend NFL Game Together
On Black Friday, while many dedicated fans of Taylor Swift stood in long lines at Target to purchase her latest book and vinyl record, Taylor herself was at Arrowhead Stadium attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ sixth home game of the season.
Like a true fan, Swift arrived about 80 minutes before the game started, walking alongside Donna Kelce, the mother of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Chiefs. The pop star sported a red long-sleeve pullover, black pants, and boots, with her hair styled back in a braided ponytail. The NFL on Prime Video tweeted a clip showing the duo walking through the team’s tunnel, captioning it, “Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce are in the house for #BlackFridayNFL.”
Swift was also accompanied by her father, Scott Swift, who wore a Chiefs jacket and walked just behind them.
Amazon Prime Video streamed the game live for a national audience. For fans of both football and Taylor in the Kansas City area.
The game was aired on KSHB-TV 41, and ABC featured the event for viewers in Las Vegas.
The renowned 14-time Grammy winner has attended only Kansas City Chiefs’ home games this year, making her acquainted with the security personnel and staff. With several home games remaining, the only scheduling issue for Swift arises on December 8 when the Chiefs will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Despite not having a scheduling conflict with the away game on November 24, the star did not attend the Carolina Panthers match in person. Nonetheless, she celebrated the Chiefs’ thrilling 30-27 victory by baking “Victory Pop-Tarts.”
Chiefs’ defensive backs coach, David Merritt, Sr., posted on Twitter, “Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop Tarts for me! Yolonda Merritt said, ‘She’s done it all season for different people Dave’ 🤦🏽♂️ I thought I was SPECIAL 🤦🏽♂️😝🤣 Regardless, she’s a sweet young woman!”
Black Friday Excitement at Target
On Black Friday, Swifties faced freezing overnight temperatures as they lined up outside Targets for the official Eras Tour book, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at her record-setting tour.
In the book’s introduction, Swift shared, “I aimed to create the longest, most ambitious show I had ever tried. With an average runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes, I performed 45 songs. My goal was for every fan to leave feeling I had given them everything I had.”
She concluded with, “See you next era.” sparking a frenzy on TikTok among theorists speculating about its meaning. “The Tortured Poets Department: Anthology” vinyls, also available at Target, quickly sold out at various locations.
Donna Kelce Indicates Swift May Not Attend
Multiple media outlets have reported that Taylor Swift might not be present at Travis Kelce’s game after his mother, Donna Kelce, was asked about it by TODAY Show anchor Craig Melvin.
“I don’t think so,” the matriarch responded on November 14 while preparing marshmallow crescent puffs. “She’s quite occupied right now with her tour.”
Kelce also mentioned, “Travis plays the day after Thanksgiving. You know, football is always linked to holidays. Football is family.”
This festive family gathering sharply contrasts with last year when the Eras Tour creator spent Thanksgiving between her two Brazil concerts in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Tragically, a fan passed away from heat exhaustion after collapsing during “Cruel Summer” the previous weekend at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos arena.
In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram story, Swift expressed her sorrow, stating, “I can’t believe I’m writing this, but with a shattered heart, I must say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I’m utterly devastated.”
Swift Overcome with Emotion: ‘It’s Not Even the Last Performance’
The singer is currently on a break from the Eras Tour, with only three performances remaining before the two-year journey concludes in Vancouver, Canada. Last week in Toronto, she was overcome with emotion as the end approached.
Wearing her berry-hued “Folklore” gown, she expressed her gratitude to the audience during a standing ovation while performing “Champagne Problems.” With tears in her eyes, she shared, “To my band, my crew, and everyone who contributed so much to this tour. I don’t even know what I’m saying; I’m just having a bit of a moment, sorry.”
Swift’s final three performances are scheduled for BC Place Stadium on December 6-8.
