Swift gives fans a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of her performances, from her stage dives to the contents of her “cleaning cart.”
LONDON — Lights, camera, and big smiles from Swifties.
Taylor Swift has debuted a brand-new music video in London, featuring behind-the-scenes clips from her spectacular Eras Tour. As confetti rained down and the house lights illuminated Wembley Stadium, the 3-minute video played on the large screens, captivating fans who stayed to watch it. Many were taken aback as it showcased the “cleaning cart” used for her entrance and the dramatic way she dives into the performance.
The song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” — which fans affectionately shorten to ICDIWABH — serves as the second single and video from Swift’s eleventh studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” Just moments before its surprise release, the singer and her dancers shared a heartfelt group embrace before stepping away from view.
The video, made available at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, includes a wealth of behind-the-scenes moments. It opens with a captivating time-lapse of fans filling the stadium and features a large gathering of Swift’s team as they prepare to perform. The group playfully waves their fingers before energetically raising their hands.
A camera positioned beneath the stage captures Swift in a vibrant tangerine jumpsuit, while the show’s distinctive orange-to-pink parachute flaps hang above. As a production team member presses a button, the footage highlights excited fans leaping and cheering. Swift is then seen being transported via a mechanical device from the stage’s diamond area to the back for a costume change into her second era, “Fearless,” as two security staff signal her entrance.
The thrilling stage spectacle is the result of countless rehearsals. Swift pulls back the curtain to reveal behind-the-scenes footage of her band and dancers perfecting their routines, especially focusing on their practice of ICDIWABH. From casual workout clothes to stunning gowns designed by Vivienne Westwood, fans catch a glimpse of the meticulous preparations that led to the mesmerizing Eras Tour. There’s a memorable scene of dancer Kameron Saunders counting, “one two three four,” as Swift shares an invisible “22 hat” with the entire audience.
ICDIWABH is the second track released from “The Tortured Poets,” following the lead single “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone.
