Taylor Swift Unveils ‘Tortured Poets’: A Bold New Track That Hints at Kanye West

Taylor Swift releases ‘Tortured Poets’ with a title that appears to target Kanye West

Taylor Swift cleverly redirected potential shade aimed at Kim Kardashian towards Kanye West with her latest live mashup featuring “Mean” and “thanK you aIMee.”

This live rendition, recorded in June at Wembley Stadium, was shared on Twitter by Taylor Nation (Swift’s marketing team) as a digital release, which also includes “The Prophecy (Long Story Short – Live from Lyon).” The artwork has altered the title from “thanK you aIMee” to “thank You aimEe,” playfully referencing “KIM” and “YE.” Kanye West has used several nicknames over the years, including Ye, Pablo, Yeezy, Yeezus, and Mr. West.

During her performance in a flowing blue dress, Swift reflected, “Every time someone talks badly, it motivates me more, and it makes me tougher. I am also really grateful for this.” This marked the first performance of Track 24 on the Eras Tour.

Adding to Swift’s excitement, her “Tortured Poets” album broke West’s impressive streak of 11 consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, which he ended when he surprised fans with his latest project “Vultures 2.”

In his track “Lifestyle (Demo),” West even referenced Swift and her boyfriend, stating, “I roll my Taylor spliffs tight at the end just like Travis Kelce.”

Swift’s two-track live album is available for digital download until 11:59 p.m. ET this Friday.
