Travis Kelce Likely to Miss Grammy Night with Taylor Swift Due to Super Bowl Prep
The idea of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stepping onto the Grammy red carpet together on Sunday would certainly excite fans.
Swift is on the brink of making history by potentially winning her fifth album of the year award, surpassing her current record of four. Meanwhile, Kelce is focused on his preparations in New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs aim for a third consecutive Super Bowl victory.
However, it seems unlikely that Kelce will make it to the Grammys in Los Angeles, as he will be occupied with practice and media obligations regarding Super Bowl 59 alongside his teammates.
Traditionally, teams arrive at the Super Bowl venue on the Sunday leading up to the actual game. For example, last year the Chiefs arrived in Las Vegas on February 4, a week before they played in Super Bowl 58 on February 11.
This year, Swift is nominated for six awards, including album of the year, and she will also take on the role of presenter at the ceremony.
Her marketing team, Taylor Nation, announced the news on social media stating, “Straight from The Tortured Poets Department, the Chairman will be reporting live from the #GRAMMYS.”
While it’s likely that Kelce won’t be attending the Grammys, Swift was there to support him at the AFC championship game on January 25 and is expected to cheer him on during his Super Bowl appearance.
Taylor Swift Attends 2024 Grammys Without Travis Kelce
At last year’s Grammy ceremony, amidst pouring rain in Los Angeles, Swift captivated in a strapless ivory dress without Kelce, who was busy preparing for Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas. She graced the red carpet mere minutes before the live show began on CBS.
She complemented her Schiaparelli Couture gown with long black gloves, an array of sparkling necklaces, and a chic black choker featuring a clock, all while sporting a striking cat eye makeup. Her light brown hair was styled down with a braid tucked on one side. The dress included a corset back, and she completed the look with black heels.
Swift took photos with her collaborator, Lana Del Rey, during the red carpet event. The “Midnights” artist made waves by winning the album of the year award for the fourth time, solidifying her place in Grammy history.
Kelce’s absence proved to be fruitful, as the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl title in a thrilling overtime victory.
