Taysom Hill Carted Off Field with Knee Injury During Saints Game Against Rams
Taysom Hill, the versatile player for the New Orleans Saints, had to be taken off the field via cart during Sunday’s game.
In the fourth quarter of the Saints’ Week 13 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Hill was injured when he was hit in the knee while trying to run the ball. The 34-year-old remained down on the field and required help from medical staff to get off the ground.
He was eventually placed on a cart and transported to the locker room for further assessment.
Before his injury, Hill, who plays both quarterback and tight end, recorded five rushes for 10 yards and five receptions for 37 yards.
Update on Taysom Hill’s Injury
Late in the game, on a crucial fourth-and-1 play, Hill moved to the left and gained two yards for a first down.
After securing the first down, Hill seemed to be struck in the knee by Rams cornerback Cobie Durant, necessitating his cart-off. Following the incident, the Saints labeled him as “doubtful” to return.
He did not re-enter the game, and as of now, the team has not announced any updates on his condition following their 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Current Saints Tight End Roster
If Hill is facing a significant knee injury, here’s a look at the Saints’ tight end lineup following Week 13:
- Taysom Hill (knee injury)
- Foster Moreau
- Juwan Johnson
- Dallin Holker
Moreau is currently in his second year of a three-year contract he signed with the Saints prior to 2023. Johnson, who joined the team as an undrafted rookie in 2020, extended his contract for two years before this season, and has participated in all 12 games for the Saints thus far. Holker is a rookie who also came in as an undrafted free agent.
