After six seasons and a film, it’s time to bid farewell to Taika Waititi’s vampire mockumentary world.
The highly praised comedy series “What We Do in the Shadows,” created by Jemaine Clement and produced by Paul Simms, will wrap up on Monday night.
This show, drawing inspiration from the 2014 film by Clement and Waititi, depicts the lives of a vampire household in Staten Island trying to live normal lives.
Before the start of Season 6, Simms assured several media outlets that there would be no unanswered questions by the series’ end. This final season has explored Guillermo’s (Harvey Guillén) journey as he contemplates his humanity and prepares to move out of the vampires’ residence.
Since its debut in 2019, the show has garnered 29 Emmy nominations, including for outstanding comedy series, winning the award for fantasy/sci-fi costumes in 2022.
