A ‘Mean One’ at McDonald’s? Grinch Happy Meal Won’t Arrive in the U.S. for 2024
Fans of McDonald’s are feeling left out as the Grinch Happy Meal will not be making its way to the U.S.
The festive Grinch Happy Meal is available in the U.K. and Ireland until December 31, or until supplies run out.
This special meal is presented in a box featuring the Grinch adorned with a Santa hat and includes collectible trading cards and a plush toy of either the Grinch or his loyal dog Max from the beloved holiday classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
Unfortunately, McDonald’s confirmed to YSL News that there are currently no plans to offer the Grinch Happy Meal in the U.S.
To promote the meal abroad, McDonald’s is airing television advertisements and also sharing them on their YouTube channels for the U.K. and Ireland.
In the U.S., starting from November 26, McDonald’s will introduce a new Pet Simulator Happy Meal. This meal package will include two Pet Simulator toys: one for your child and a special gift-wrapped version they can share with a friend.
Is There A Chance the Grinch Happy Meal Will Come to the U.S.?
It’s not completely off the table. Even though McDonald’s has stated that the Grinch Happy Meal will not be available in the U.S. at this time, it’s possible it may be offered in the future.
For example, last month, the McRib sandwich reappeared in the U.K. for a limited duration, marking its first comeback there since 2016. Now, the McRib is set to return to the U.S. at select restaurants nationwide starting December 3 for a limited time.
Additionally, the Squishmallow Happy Meals that were available during the 2023 holiday season in the U.S. were first launched in the U.K. and Ireland.
Judging by the buzz on social media, there seems to be a strong demand for the Grinch Happy Meal in the U.S., with many expressing disappointment about missing out this holiday season.
Although the Grinch Happy Meal isn’t available here, you can still join in on some Grinch-themed holiday fun by checking McDonald’s international websites for the U.K. and Ireland.
