Biomimetic Flapping Wings: Harnessing Nature’s Wind Sensing through Flexible Strain Sensors

Bio-inspired wind sensing using strain sensors on flexible wings could revolutionize robotic flight control strategy. Researchers have developed a method to detect wind direction with 99% accuracy using seven strain gauges on the flapping wing and a convolutional neural network model. This breakthrough, inspired by natural strain receptors in birds and insects, opens up new

Tina Knowles Opens Up About the Challenge of Staying Silent Online: “I Always Stand Up for My Children”

Tina Knowles opens up about her struggles with social media criticism: ‘I’m here to defend my children’

Tina Knowles has shared that it is challenging for her to remain silent when it comes to online comments.

“I am a defender of my children, and protecting them is my priority,” Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé and grandmother of Blue Ivy, stated during an episode of “The Run-Through with Vogue” podcast that was released on Monday.

Following Beyoncé’s energetic performance of “Cowboy Carter” on Christmas Day, Knowles quickly responded to detractors on social media. She highlighted a fan’s comment that “no matter how truly talented you are, there will always be critics,” adding her own opinion.

“It amazes me that you’d spend your precious Christmas day watching someone you don’t like and claiming they have no talent, just so you can criticize them later,” Knowles expressed on Instagram.

She added, “Clearly, you are so fascinated with them, almost obsessed, that you cannot help but keep watching, critiquing, and making ridiculous comments that just make you look foolish!”

Knowles admitted to struggling with the urge to respond when people insult her family.

“My children often tell me, ‘Mom, just ignore it.’ But sometimes it reaches a point where I feel I have to say, ‘Enough is enough,'” she shared on the podcast.

Earlier this month, Knowles faced backlash when fans noticed she had liked several posts related to allegations against her son-in-law Jay-Z. He has been accused of a 2000 incident involving a minor at a VMAs after-party, which he firmly denies.

Following the incident, Knowles claimed her Instagram may have been compromised, stating, “As you all know, I take my family’s reputation seriously. If you see anything out of character for me, just know that it’s not from me!”

She also mentioned that her family gives her feedback, saying on the podcast, “Sometimes Blue (Ivy) will call me and say, ‘Grandma, that was not cool. You really should take that down.'” Knowles responded, “I’m just moving on to the next thing,” while the comments flood in saying, “There she goes again, Miss Tina.”
