Catch Travis Kelce teasing Christian McCaffrey in a new Lowe’s advertisement before the NFL season kicks off
Even though they will compete against each other at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey have collaborated for a new commercial for Lowe’s.
The ad portrays McCaffrey trying to ask a Lowe’s staff member for a lawnmower, but he is continuously interrupted by Kelce, who is playfully revving a power drill. In the skit, both players are wearing blue and red jerseys that feature the Lowe’s logo.
This ad campaign was launched by People Magazine on Friday, showcasing various prominent football figures promoting the retailer’s rewards program and same-day delivery options. Television spots of both 15-seconds and 30-seconds will be aired during the 2024 NFL season starting September 2, according to People.
Fans from Texas might notice appearances by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. Additionally, sports broadcaster Scott Hanson is seen in front of an anchor desk alongside three Lowe’s employees celebrating the company’s array of services.
“Lowe’s understands it’s simpler to make the right decisions when you have the right support,” says Hanson.
When is the NFL season beginning?
The first week of the 2024 NFL season kicks off on Thursday, September 5, with the Baltimore Ravens playing against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The following day, the Green Bay Packers will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil.
The NFL preseason began earlier this month, right after the 2024 Olympics, giving fans an early taste of the upcoming excitement.
The Chiefs have clinched two consecutive Super Bowl titles, including this past February when they narrowly beat the Chiefs 25-22.
