Trevor Noah to Host the Grammys Again Amid Fires

A new year, but the same familiar face.

Trevor Noah is set to return as the host for the 2025 Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET on February 2. This year will mark Noah’s fifth consecutive time serving as the event’s emcee.

Recently, the Recording Academy confirmed that the show will proceed despite the severe wildfires affecting California in recent weeks, which have led to the cancellation or delay of several significant events, including the Critic’s Choice Awards and a performance by The Weeknd at the Rose Bowl.

According to a statement from CBS shared with YSL News, “The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will embody a renewed commitment: to raise additional funds for wildfire relief and to recognize the bravery of first responders who risk their lives for our safety.” The awards ceremony is set to be held in downtown Los Angeles at the Crypto.com arena.

Trevor Noah gained wider recognition after taking over from Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and has since expanded his career to include podcasting and writing.

His humorous and often playful approach, contrasting with the sharper wit of some of his peers, has become a defining feature of the Grammys. This time, the awards will unfold against a fresh political climate, being one of the first significant Hollywood award events during the second Trump administration.

In the past, awards shows often provided a platform for Hollywood to express discontent with the president, but the response to Trump’s second term appears to be more muted. All attention will be on Noah, as well as the award recipients, to see if this trend holds.
