Trump and Harris Lock Horns in Arizona and Nevada as Election Day Approaches

Trump and Harris in a tight race in Arizona and Nevada just days before the election, recent polls reveal

WASHINGTON – Recent CNN surveys by SSRS show that former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are in a closely contested race in two pivotal states, one week before Election Day.

In Arizona, Harris holds a slight edge over Trump with 48% compared to 47% among likely voters, while in Nevada, Trump leads Harris 48% to 47%.

The polling included 781 registered voters in Arizona and 683 registered voters in Nevada.

The results are within the polls’ margins of error, which are plus or minus 4.4 percentage points for Arizona and plus or minus 4.6 percentage points for Nevada. The surveys were conducted between October 21 and October 26.

When voters were asked whom they trust more to manage the economy, Harris lagged behind Trump. In Arizona, 39% of likely voters and 41% in Nevada expressed confidence in her ability to handle economic issues, whereas 50% of voters in both states trusted Trump for economic management. The rest of the respondents in both states had no faith in either candidate.

Trump was also favored by voters regarding foreign policy and immigration. However, when it came to safeguarding democracy and reproductive rights, voters placed more trust in Harris than in Trump.

In Arizona, 51% of respondents trusted Harris on reproductive rights, while 35% opted for Trump, and 13% chose neither. In Nevada, 53% supported Harris compared to 32% for Trump, with 15% indicating they trusted neither candidate.
