Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa reveals he has hired personal security for his home
The quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, announced on Wednesday that he has secured personal security for his residence.
This year, several professional athletes have faced break-ins at their homes.
Tagovailoa mentioned that one of his vehicles was targeted in a break-in a few years back.
“My house hasn’t been broken into, but one of my cars was, and it made me feel uneasy knowing my family is at home,” Tagovailoa explained. “So, we decided to hire personal security to monitor things when we’re away. We have someone with my wife and someone else monitoring the house. Just to clarify, they are armed, so I hope you think twice before attempting to enter my home.”
Recently, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was broken into during a game against the Dallas Cowboys, marking another instance of a pro athlete experiencing a burglary.
Fortunately, no injuries occurred during the break-in, but the residence was thoroughly ransacked.
In addition, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley experienced a burglary at his house in September.
Rise in crime pushes Tua Tagovailoa to enhance security measures
Earlier this year in October, the homes of Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were also targeted. Then, Milwaukee Bucks player Bobby Portis faced a break-in at his home in November.
“I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily a target,” Tagovailoa commented. “However, I wouldn’t take any chances with my family, especially with my kids, wife, and myself all sleeping at home.”
