Revolutionizing Healthcare: The Future of Point-of-Care Testing with Innovative Bioluminescent Immunosensors

A novel nanobody-based immunosensor, designed to function stably in undiluted biological fluids and harsh conditions, has been developed. Their innovative design leverages BRET -- bioluminescence resonance energy transfer -- and exhibits great potential for point-of-care testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and environmental applications using paper-based devices. Tyreek Hill demands dismissal of police officer involved in Sunday’s incident

Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, has requested the firing of a police officer involved in an incident that took place on Sunday.

In a statement shared on Tuesday evening by Hill’s attorney, Julius Collins, Hill is urging for the immediate dismissal of Officer Danny Torres, who is currently under administrative duties as an investigation into Sunday’s events is ongoing. This incident occurred before the Dolphins’ Week 1 home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“We believe the officer’s use of force was unnecessary, escalating, and reckless,” the statement said. “We are calling for his immediate termination.

“The occurrences on Sunday, September 8, 2024, highlight the ongoing injustices faced by people in black and minority communities due to law enforcement. While we do not accuse the officer of being racist, we do assert that the longstanding customs and practices within law enforcement have historically been discriminatory and oppressive toward these communities.”

On his way to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, Hill was pulled over this past Sunday. Body camera footage released by police on Monday showed the 30-year-old Hill being forcefully taken from his vehicle, pushed to the ground, and handcuffed.

The Miami-Dade Police Department has also made public the two citations issued to Hill: one for careless driving, noting his estimated speed of 60 mph, and another for not wearing a seatbelt.
