How do the vice-presidential candidates handle their finances?

A remarkable 58% of Americans had investments in stocks as of 2022, according to the Federal Reserve.

However, Tim Walz, the Democratic vice-presidential candidate, did not fall into this category, according to Medora Lee’s report.

In fact, Walz’s investment portfolio is quite limited, based on disclosed information. He holds no stocks, bonds, or real estate. His assets mainly consist of pensions, whole life insurance, and college savings, as indicated by a filing from 2019. He and his spouse, Gwen, had a pre-tax income of $166,719 in 2022.

On the other hand, his Republican counterpart, J.D. Vance, has a diversified portfolio that includes stocks, real estate, and cryptocurrency.

What opinions do financial advisors have about the investment choices made by the two candidates?
