Plan on Free Flights in 2025? Southwest Airlines Offers a Special Companion Pass Deal
Southwest Airlines has reintroduced its popular Companion Pass, but this offer is only available for a limited time.
The airline is hosting a flash promotion for members of its Rapid Rewards frequent flyer program, granting them a two-month Companion Pass when they either buy or redeem points for one round-trip or two one-way flights before 11:59 p.m. CST on Thursday, September 5. The selected flight must be completed prior to November 20.
With the Companion Pass, the member gets to choose one person who can travel for free on any flights from January 6 to March 6, 2025. However, travelers are responsible for paying taxes and fees, starting at $5.60 each way.
“We love providing this Companion Pass promotion because it lets our Members enjoy one of the amazing perks of our award-winning Rapid Rewards program,” stated Jennifer Bridie, vice president of marketing for Southwest Airlines.
Typically, Companion Passes are reserved for elite members of the Rapid Rewards program, but during this promotion, they will be accessible to all members. The last instance of Southwest offering the pass was in May for those flying to Hawaii.
