Fans of “Yellowstone” can look forward to a fresh Taylor Sheridan creation this month with the launch of “Landman,” a new series on Paramount+ featuring Billy Bob Thornton.

Taking place in today’s Texas oil boomtowns, “Landman” explores the intense dynamics of the oil sector, highlighting the lives of speculators, barons, and “landmen”—the negotiators who connect companies with landowners.

As described by Paramount, this show is a contemporary narrative about the chase for wealth in the oil industry, presenting a dual perspective on the lives of wildcat billionaires and roughnecks during a boom that is significantly impacting our environment, economy, and global politics.

Featuring an impressive ensemble cast with many actors familiar from other Sheridan productions, this series is adapted from the Boomtown podcast, which is reported and hosted by journalist Christian Wallace.

When Does ‘Landman’ Season 1 Premiere?

The first season of “Landman” will debut on Sunday, November 17, on Paramount+. Both episodes 1 and 2 will be available simultaneously.

Following the premiere, the remaining eight episodes will be released weekly every Sunday through January.
