Sam’s Club Black Friday 2024: Important Information about the Warehouse Club
In comparison to some other stores, Sam’s Club’s Black Friday sales begin fairly late – just two days before Black Friday on Nov. 27, exclusively for Plus members. Here are the details.
Sam’s Club is joining in on the Black Friday festivities a bit late, especially when compared to Walmart, Amazon, and Target.
As part of Walmart Inc., Sam’s Club is already showcasing some upcoming Black Friday offers on its website. However, Plus members will gain early online access to these deals starting on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 9:01 p.m. ET, while other members can begin shopping early on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, at 12:01 a.m. ET.
Although the membership-based warehouse club with 600 warehouse locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Plus members can enjoy early shopping in stores starting on Friday, Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. After that, all club members can shop until the sale wraps up on Monday, Dec. 2.
Currently, Sam’s Club offers discounts on both Plus and Club memberships: For a limited time, you can purchase a standard one-year Club membership for $25 (regularly $50) and a one-year Plus membership for $50 (regularly $110; which includes free shipping on orders over $50 and 2% Sam’s Cash on in-club transactions).

Early Black Friday Sales
Several retailers have already launched their Black Friday sales even though the official date is Friday, Nov. 29, the day following Thanksgiving.
Target has initiated its holiday shopping season with a three-day early Black Friday sale at the beginning of this month and is offering daily Deal of the Day specials for members of its Target Circle loyalty program through Christmas Eve. As of earlier this week, Walmart has made its online early Black Friday deals and in-store offers available this weekend. Amazon will begin its Black Friday Week on Thursday, Nov. 21, lasting until Friday, Nov. 29.
There’s a growing trend for shoppers to start holiday shopping earlier – though it’s uncertain if spending will increase in 2024. The National Retail Federation projects that spending during this holiday season may rise by 2.5% to 3.5% compared to 2023.
Nearly half of consumers (47%) begin their holiday shopping in October or earlier, according to a WalletHub survey, mainly to take advantage of lower prices and to have more time to enjoy the season.
Holiday Spending Insights
According to WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo, “22% of individuals believe that distributing their purchases over several months helps them steer clear of holiday-related debt,” as shared in the recent survey press release.
