Universal Pictures unveils the first look at ‘Jurassic World Rebirth,’ starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey.
The “Jurassic World” saga will be back next summer with the debut of “Jurassic World Rebirth.” Universal Pictures has revealed a sneak peek at the film’s new logo and cast members.
<p”Set for release in July 2025, this film introduces a fresh cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. Previously, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starred in the earlier three films of the franchise.
According to the official synopsis, “This thrilling new installment follows a daring team as they strive to retrieve DNA samples from the three largest creatures known to roam land, sea, and sky.”
Directed by Gareth Edwards, known for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” “Jurassic World Rebirth” takes place five years after “Jurassic World Dominion.”
The film’s summary states, “The Earth’s ecosystems have become largely unwelcoming to dinosaurs. Those that do survive are isolated in tropical regions that mimic their original habitats. The three gigantic species that exist in this environment may hold the secret to a revolutionary drug that could provide life-saving benefits for humanity.”
Who are the new characters in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’?
In the movie, Johansson portrays a covert operations expert named Zora Bennett. Her character is tasked with leading a team to collect DNA from the “three most enormous dinosaur species still in existence,” according to the studio.
Ali takes on the role of Zora’s partner, Duncan Kincaid, while Bailey portrays a paleontologist named Dr. Henry Loomis, as stated by Universal Pictures.
The first official images from the film show Johansson’s and Bailey’s characters observing something through tall grass, while Ali’s character, holding a flare, appears to be shouting.
The caption accompanying a post with these images reads, “A new era is about to begin.”
